The Count of Monte Cristo

The Count of Monte Cristo

The Count of Monte Cristo is an Adventure novel written by famous French writer Alexandre Dumas. This one of the most famous novels written by him and a book which is known has a classic and translated into more than 100 languages.

The story happens in France and Italy during 1815–1838. Even though it's an adventure novel the writer is more focused on human feelings and nature showing themes like hope, justice, vengeance, mercy and forgiveness. The story is about a man who is wrongfully imprisoned but later escapes and finds a fortune his will to use it to getting revenge on those responsible for his imprisonment. But finally he realize his plans devastating effect which makes many suffer not guilty but also innocent.

The original The Count of  Monte Cristo book is really big. The first one I read came in 7 volumes. So if you want to read the whole book but some compressed version of it then you need to be careful to buy the right version for you. Original books length is 5 times the average book. Penguin Classics, The Count of  Monte Cristo book is one the best you can get from those out there.
